The Kilo team had another awesome year in 2017:
We launched Woobi, a mask designed to protect the 500 million kids living in polluted areas around the globe. Our TMA-2 modular headphone system, designed for our longtime partners at AIAIAI, launched as part of the ‘made for Google’ program. We were part of the HAY x IKEA collaboration with the Ypperlig LED lamp, and we launched our first mobile device for leading-edge gaming brand Razer.
TMA-2 went wireless after smashing through the 2016 Kickstarter target for its H05 smart headband, got mic’d up for gaming and launched products for 2 new collaborations: Places + Faces and Ed Banger Records. Ernit – The Smart Piggy Bank is in production and we’ve kicked off our work on the future evolution of the platform. Analog Drive for Elektron is getting explosive reviews and our award-winning Tracks headphones for AIAIAI is featured in the Everyday Life – Signs of Awareness exhibition at Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa.
We have received many awards and recognitions for our work, such as D&AD, Design For Asia, Good Design Japan and Fast Company. Last but not least, we were finalists in the “Nobel Prize of Design” – Index: Design to improve life.
We are proud of what we’ve achieved this year, and are looking forward to the new, exciting year ahead.
We wish all of our friends and collaborators a Merry Christmas and an even better 2018.
