Safe and welcoming shelters for public transport users
In collaboration with creators of the brand Identity for Skånetrafiken, Swedish agency Neumeister, Kilo has designed a series of new bus shelters. The first model is now installed in Malmö, a 10-square meter module part of a system of eight different-sized shelters.
Each has been designed to be welcoming, safe, easy to maintain – and with a sedum covered roof – beneficial to the environment, too. After an evaluation period, the plan is to install 30 to 40 new shelters each year at bus stops throughout Skåne.
The plants in a green roof purify the air by filtering particulate matter and converting CO2 into oxygen.
