TMA-1

Vanguard design and precursor to the TMA-2

The main focus in the design of the TMA-1 has been on developing a design that is, on one hand, iconic, and on the other hand imbued with the appearance and functions of a user tool. The approach was to clean out as much as possible in the design, while focusing on exaggerating the details that are necessary to make it work technically and visually. Another clear focus was designing cohesive relations between the different elements; a relation that makes the design appear as one, unified with the same DNA informing every move in the design. The end result is a headphone that’s no-nonsense and stripped-down to its bare essentials. The TMA-1 range includes the lighter, smaller TMA-1X, and the TMA-1 Studio, developed to meet the requirements of the on-the-go musician and producer.

The approach has been to clean out as much as possible in the design while focusing on exaggerating the details that are necessary to make it work technically and visually.
